Arched windows are beautiful and a great selling feature for homes. When it comes to covering the window, it can be difficult to find the right covering. Here are some tips to cover your arched window:

1. Consider leaving the arch uncovered. To do this, you would measure for your custom blinds / shades making sure not to include the arch measurements.
   
   This allows you to add privacy to your room by blocking the view from the window while still letting in the light and showcasing the beauty of the window. You also are able to block most of the light when needed, which can help if the window gets a lot of sun.
2. Cover the window and the arch with separate custom blinds or shades. This allows you to have your standard rectangular blinds / shades covering to cover the window and another set cover the arch. The blinds / shades for your arch should be custom-made to fit your window perfectly.
   
   These still showcase the beauty of your window, but you also are able to filter how much light comes in through the entire window. This is perfect if you get afternoon sun, since it will also help reduce the heat in the room.
3. If you don’t want to cover up your window, consider adding a valance or cornice to break up the window. Adding a valance/cornice can help add interest, highlight the window arch, and soften the look of the window. You can also add blinds/shades to cover the rectangular portion of the window and raise them up to hide them under the valance/cornice when not in use.
4. Cover the entire window with an outside mounted window blind or shade. This will cover the arch and make it look just like a large window. If your window isn’t something you want to showcase, this is a great way to hide any imperfections or ugly windows. This can also help the window blend into the rest of your room and block out a significant amount of light.
