Child Safety
Window blinds and window shades both have options to make them extra child-friendly. At Impact Blinds, we understand that child safety comes first: this is an explanation on options you can get to make your window blinds or shades child-friendly.
Cleat Blocks
Cleat blocks are used to control the cords from window blinds and window shades and keep them away from children. Very easy to install, cleat blocks work by giving you a place to wrap the cords up and away from little ones.

Cordless Shades
Like their name, cordless shades don’t operate with cords. Instead, you can pull down the shade or push it up. These are a fantastic and affordable way to have shades without worrying about any cords.

Motorized Shades
Motorized shades operate off a remote control. Rather than having to manually open or close the shades, you are able to use a remote control, just like you would with a TV. This is a perfect solution for hard to reach windows, bedrooms, and any room that you would prefer not to have a cord hanging loose or manually operate your window shades.

Continuous Loop Cord Shades
Continuous loop cord shades allow you operate your shades with a cord, however, this cord has been shortened and loops around so there are no hanging cords for a child to accidentally hurt themselves with.
